third floor, Southlake Hospital
Now that the weather has warmed up, flowers are blooming in the planters placed in the garden outside the gym. The pointy skylight in the centre of this photo is the roof of a small chapel on the first floor.
Reflection in patients' windows
A few lucky patients can look from their beds out onto the garden.

Such a pleasant view from those patients' windows :D)
I agree with Susan--few things more therapeutic than to see garden.
The flowers are beautiful. I'm sure they work well brightening patient's days.
Oh this must cheer patients up no end! At least, I hope it can and does!
It looks very nice. I'm sure the patients enjoy the beauty and the fresh air. Have a good week.
An oasis of calm!
If you need to be hospitalized, I think that this is a good place to be.
Seems like a nice hospital. Our town is not making much progress in getting a new facility.
how very pretty!
It's wonderful when a hospital works on some the aesthetics which can also be important for patients' recovery. All those flowers have to help folks feel better.
You have been very creative in finding so many photography subjects around this hospital.
this is one amazing hospital. i have really enjoyed all your photos taken there.. that skylight is fantastic...i bet the chapel is also
You're spending a lot of time at South Lake recently! Is it still surrounded by construction? I was last there in September, and couldn't find the entrance to Emergency.
Such a pleasant garden, nice for the patients and families. I'm sorry you and your husband are still spending so much time their though.

I love that the skylight of the chapel is an element in the garden!!!
How nice the hospital maintains this little garden. I'm sure it helps to have someting pretty to look at while you're healing.
A flower garden (even in pots) is a different kind of chapel that can lift the spirits and help in the process of healing.
how soothing it must be to see such loveliness from one's hospital window
Nice garden. A pleasant place to get away from all the unpleasantries there. Love the chapel skylight. MB
Beautiful garden setting at this hospital.
it's good that they have started to think of this kind of thing at the hospitals, EG!
That does look like a great place to get away from the hospital rooms and relax.
These are really nice and I'm sure the patients and visitors appreciate this little garden. :)
It's all very beautiful. You are finding plenty of beauty in an otherwise sterile place.
That's a lovely garden. I always enjoy the small gardens that are scattered throughout some of the hospitals I've been in (both as visitor and patient).
lucky patients indeed. hope that views like this would be available to more patients.
Spring = rebirth and growth and beauty. Fine metaphor for the healing process of the patients.
A lovely hospital with beautiful views -- you can't say that about many of them!! I totally agree with Jack, Spring does indeed equal rebirth and growth and beauty!! Thank you for sharing this, EG, a wonderful post and pics for the day!
Very cheerful sights!
Hope all is well!
Nice garden at the roof op.
What a pretty area!
GORGEOUS flowers; definitely comfort patients minds♡♡♡
Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
It would sure brighten the day to get to see all those flowers every day.
To heal it's very important to have beauty around us. What a lovely view!
