Bluebird

 Eastern Bluebird (Sialla sialis)

Some birds don't stick around long enough for me to take a decent shot, but this female bluebird was a natural model waiting for me to go away so it could back into her nest.

Another pose (but keeping its eye on me)

I am connecting to Stewart M's Wild Bird Wednesday HERE

Oh,and you have probably been asked this 4011 times, but what are you shooting with?

Beautiful shots! My Gran used to say that bluebirds were loved by fairies, because bluebirds would let fairies hitch a ride.

Very nice captures CG. My Bluebird box is empty and I'm hoping I might lure one in to nest before the season is over.

I have never thought that having one of these fly up my nose would make me happy. (I hope this reference makes sense to you :) )

These are perfect shots, like he really is posing! Whenever I see them, they are never still long enough for me to snap.

Great shots! I am blessed to have a family of them in a birdhouse on a pine tree by our farmhouse in the country, ...but they are a little shy, also!

Not as flashy as the males but very beautiful in her more subdued colours. We only very occasionally see them here in eastern Ontario. It's a real treat when we do, so thanks for the photos.

Beautiful and sharp shots of this female. I have never been able to get good ones of the male or female. Congrats!

She's a good mama, looking out for her young. Lovely photos! How nice that her vigilance went hand in hand with good photos.

These are amazing shots! I struggle to get good shots that aren't horribly cropped. Wanting to return to the nest is a good incentive though.

I so love when they pose:) Bluebirds are not only difficult to approach, they also are difficult for the camera and I don't know why! I have okay shots of the Western, but could do better with my Eastern and Mountain Bluebirds. All of them are stunners!
