I'm not sure what this gated entrance is all about as I have never seen one like this before in a small town except for...
A second gated entrance to the door seen through the first
the one on the other side of the column leading to the same yellow door.

There are some of these here, and they usually mean it is in a crime area. Looks like they do not want anyone getting in.
Gorgeous yellow door and I quite like the gates, the corner design must create a little bit of a courtyard entrance.

For whatever reason the gate is there, I think this entrance has style, and adds rather than subtracts from the property.

Hmmm, I am not sure about the functionality but the iron gates are sure stylish.
How mysterious, and lovely, too. It reminds me of a cloistered convent entrance. Or maybe the owner is paranoid about being robbed?

It looks like an entrance to a church or something to me. I can just imagine a Mother Superior standing there making sure all is safe.
