Rust and Ruins

Sad old barn

September1st is City Daily Blogger's Theme Day and the theme this month is "Rust and Ruins."

I'm not sure how much longer this barn will be standing. The rusty roof may last longer than the rotting boards, though.

 Deserted house

The field close to this abandoned house is still being worked.  No rust that I can see but the building is definitely falling apart.

Rusty-shovel art meant to decorate a garden

Not old rust, but new.

I am linking to City Daily Photo Theme Days  HERE

In celebration of the old and wonderful "stuff", I  am connecting to Rubbish Tuesday HERE.

How is it possible to receive so much neglect?

The decay of the barn is simply glorious, and now I have seen my first example of shovel art...

Great choices for the theme day. It's always sad to see those old barns. But they are sort of fascinating (and great for pictures).

These old barns gave me quite impression as I'm was not familiar with. Your Rusty-shovel art looks SO beautiful and fantastic. I guess they must be retrospective to your people♡♡♡

Great shots, the old building is still a thing of beauty in its decline. That rusty art, would love to have that in my garden :)

Super theme shots! Love old broken-down buildings. Love "rustic" things, too. I probably should have been nicknamed "Rusty." Then if I had been a cowboy I could have written a song about Rusty riding the dusty trail. Oui?

And re your comment on Cedar Key: Oh yes, we would very much like a cool winter day about now. Although the temp got down to 66 degrees F one night, so cooler weather is on the way!

It looks like one good puff of wind would bring that barn down. Love the shovel art, it may be new but they have done a great job making it look old.

I see falling down barns and think that for sure someone will come in a salvage the building. The beautiful old wood can be reused in so many ways.

Those buildings sure are coming from together!!
But I love the shovel art!!! May I send a copy of that image to my Mom, who does not have internet?
