Barn outside Beeton, Ontario
Another sad barn, I'm afraid, on its way to being reclaimed by nature.

Looks like you captured that barn in the nick of time! Lots of barns like that in our neck of the woods. They have a kind of haunting beauty to them, in my opinion.
Oh there are so many of these sad barns and it makes me sad. Great shots. Hug B
Just my kind of barn! Tom The Backroads Traveller
Yes, it is a sad barn, but it sure makes a wonderful picture. Thanks for joining in.
How sad, indeed. When most of these structures have disappeared I suppose someone will save the last few.
I like some of the creative things I've seen people do with old barn wood.
There are so many deteriorating barns around here, and lots already gone that you don't even realize!
This one might be around for a while yet EG :)
I love their isolated loneliness. Such a rugged beauty you captured here.

It certainly seems to be just a matter of time before this one's gone.
It is sad. It looks like that tree or the bushes grew up right in-between them. Someone would love those barn boards though. :)
Cool photos Camera Girl but this is becoming a sad common sight in Ontario.
old, sad and oh so beautiful
There is something haunting about old buildings in this state.

It is really sad to see this one in this state. It looks to have been so well built originally.
sure is...
There is a lot of really nice aged wood there that could be re-used for interior wall paneling.
That is a great find! It is sad, but does provide a wonderful photo opportunity.
A sad sight!
It has a kind of faded beauty.
Rather sad looking but makes for great photography.
Sad to see it abandoned. You got cool angles in these pictures, and I like the green intense.

Dilapidated charm. Worn and patinated boards are fine to look at.
Great photo!

Makes for striking images! All that dilapidated, weathered wood surrounded by the lush green and blue skies. Wonderful set!
We have many around here like this one. They are a sad sight! I wish they would either be fixed up or torn down, do you agree?
Nice photos.
I am curious - is there a lake in the b/g or is it all just the big blue sky. I had to look up Beeton, Ontario. I see it is located by a decent size lake.
Have a Beautiful Day!
Peace :)
You're going to make me cry!
That is a sad one, and unfortunately we have too many of these around our area.
Even in its decline, I still think that there is something very beautiful about it.
What a shame! ...:)JP
I loved those old barns and kept my horse in one -- way back then!! Sad, but what great captures!! Thanks for the memories, EG! Hope you have a great week!!
I adore barns, and these are just wonderful!

Sheila :-)
It looks like a good wind would see this old barn and shed off.

Oh dear the 'stories it could tell' ~ Great shots of the dear old barn for OWT!

I love the old barns! I hate to see them neglected. Old and maintained is the best of both worlds.
It needs a lot of love.
sad barn is an appropriate description. you captured it beautifully however.
Worth a Thousand Words
This barn may be old but it still has a certain beauty about it.
It looks so worthy of someone to come in and at least begin mowing. What a nice greenery to enhance and enjoy!
Yes, EG, but some clever recycler will use those old boards in a lovely new building or restoration.
I always like seeing these weathered buildings.
wonder what has replaced the barns?
It still has it's beauty, I think we would all stop to photograph it!! But one good strong wind......
Well weathered.
They certainly have a way of blending into nature!
Doesn't look as though it will be standing for much longer, more's the pity.
Oh I love that gorgeous old barn - the stories it could tell!
they make beautiful pictures though!
I am sure not sad to look at the barn.
I wonder if and how the wood could be repurposed.
Every time I see a barn like that, I think of my grandmother's comment - it's coming from together...
Once useful and now neglected---Sad.
I just love these old barns. The older they are, the more photogenic!
an adorable, just-about-to-fall-down little barn.....
We are losing so many! Great Rubbish Tuesday post!
These are incredible structures and photos.
It's really sad to see a barn like this being let go.
