Backyard Fences

Fence, back deck and "backyard" on Cook's Bay

Some people on Cook's bay don't have grass in their backyards because their homes  are right on the water.

 Another fence and back deck

Another "backyard"

I am linking to Good Fences HERE.

Great fences and cool reflections!

Very neat! I do like the reflections, but I don't think I'd like to live so close to the water; it seems a house like that could easily be flooded.

Looks like a great place to chill out!

You always capture such interesting angles and reflections, and elevate the 'mundane' to the 'gloria'.

Terrific reflections!

I think it's the problems with ice that would keep me from having a place on the water.

my hubby has always wanted a back yard just like these, he had to settle for a pool, just not the same... were you in a boat?

Those decks look a little tipsy in the water. Nice reflections of the fences. Enjoy the day!

Sandra,
These "backyards are next to a narrow inlet with a boat launch. I was on the other side of the inlet.

I like the variety of fencing. And how wood is affected by water. Some cool reflections here, too!

If I would live that close to the water a deck would be plenty for me :) Great pictures with real nice reflections!

Lovely fences and reflections! Have a great day!

You'd need more than a picket fence to keep that water out, if it ever got unruly.

Nice! No mowing . . . (sigh). :-)

Goodness gracious me, I can't decide which I like better the real or the reflections?! Marvelous spread.

Great fences and I too like the reflections.

That's pretty neat. Great reflections. Let's just hope they're not flooded.

A double fence. The reflection is a bonus.

Really neat pictures. I have always found that people who live right on the water think a little bit different.
Their lives become tied to that water.

How interesting to have water as your "backyard". I really like the way you captured the reflections of the fences in the water.

I think I'd back the house off a bit from the water! And keep the decks, EG.

Nice fences, and what a lovely reflection!!

I wouldn't mind that kind of backyard. It's easy to care for, at least!

beautiful but I would be scared of storms :(

No grass to mow? That works for me! Pretty.

Very pretty, but I would need just a little bit of green grass!

Those are some interesting back yards. If your house is that close to any kind of water around here, you better be prepared to have an alligator or two as a neighbor!

I would love to live near the water, just not too close.. Great fence shots..

Nice fences - and nice reflections!

I could get used to a liquid backyard. Just raise the house a few feet in case of a storm.

no grass because you are close to water is a not a bad deal at all! I could definitely live without mowing all summer.
