NOT snow but ice created by splashing waves on the light and pier
Yep, overcast skies. But we have had some sun here, although not the day I took these photos.
True, this light is getting a bit rusty...but at least it still works.
A little further back
I didn't walk all the way down the pier to take this photo but zoomed in on it. Trust me, it was icy and very slippery. The only critters brave enough to walk on the ice were gulls! (Can you see one there?) I was standing on concrete and, although it was windy and cold, I was on firm ground. It snowed last night (and is still snowing today) so I'm sure it looks a bit different now.

Love the last shot!
The ice creations look amazing.
The lighthouse covered in frozen waves is amazing! I do hope you'll share your "snow cone" flowers with I Heart Macro:-)
Amazing icy creations they are indeed!! And terrific captures as always!! It does indeed look SO cold!! Stay warm and sleep well!!
Whoa, amazing shot of the light with the ice all around. I've never seen anything like that.
It always amazes me how something so treacherous can create the most beautiful scenes. Great shots!
Tina,
This is way cool! Love these photos.
The frozen water / ice looks like a beautiful popsicle.
Peace :)
What intrepid photos! And the top really spoke. You captured the light alight I see. Nice touch.

I love the color of this light!! And I have never seen anything like this, it is truly amazing. But the ice is on the wrong side! The side way from the waves! The side nearest the water is bare!! Hmmm, maybe this is an illusion because we can't really see the other side. In any case, it is truly spectacular.
That ice at the Lighthouse is amazing and the last shot is superb.
Nature often surprises us with beautiful pieces of art.
Your photos are amazing!

Your photos are amazing!!!!!!

Your pics say that the waves were frozen while they were moving ?! OMG , it means real cold ! Never seen such a thing, that's why I'm so impressed !
At least you are getting out. This winter weather is keeping me close to home.
I love the cone flowers ... they look like an iceblock you could buy at the shop.
I can see your world is very different from ours ... snow is a very rare and exciting event in our part of the world.
Your cone flowers have a lot more snow than mine!
It must really be cold there for the waves to freeze...Amazing captures.. And I love the pretty snow covered coneflowers.. Have a happy day!
It appears you braved the weather and brought us incredible shots. Thank you. Keep warm. Hug B
OMGosh...I'm thinking I have to put on another layer of clothes now. That looks so very cold.
But....beautiful, gorgeous, none the less.

Oh brr that looks very cold. Love the snow on the Coneflowers--where are my rings. Haha
I mentioned you on my blog because you did give me the idea about using older homes on Rubbish Tuesday. We have so many older places here that it will be my focus for a while now.

That is one icy lighthouse!
Unbelievable EG! Seriously I cannot believe that kind of cold!....conehead :)
Now, that is what I call COLD!
That is neat. I think you showed something similar last winter. I always enjoy seeing this especially since I don't have to brave the elements to do so. Thanks for sharing it.
So beautiful! We got a little snow today, but it's not sticking.
Very wintery, EG!
Lol, coneheads... I can think of a variety of other things here but mostly that I love to see ice!
How awesome!!
Wow nature's powerful. It never fails to amaze me. Incredible ice formation.
The snow look lovely in those coneflowers.
Love the ice covered light shots, you can feel the cold
Oh my goodness!
So cold and kind of scary. I guess that's because we don't really have a winter where I live. Very nice photos!
that´s a chilly nature for sure.
I just realised I don´t know your name! Will you share it?
