Victorian Home
I have photographed this house before - a while ago. But when I saw it again last week I knew it was time to make a new photo of it. Isn't it grand? I would love to have my "office" in the tower. I wonder if you can see Lake Scugog from up there!
In celebration of the old and wonderful "stuff", I am connecting to Rubbish Tuesday HERE.

looks like a wonderful creeky old building
Nice house.
What kind of setting are you using, very poor pixel quality here?
Makes me wonder what is up there in that tower.
Nice one Camera Girl.
That is a beauty indeed. Hug B
That looks special, the Addams Family home was here.
It is a gorgeous house, I like the tower too! Great shot! Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!

it is beautiful and i bet that tower room is cozy and i wonder if there is a tower to the tower room up there where the dormers are.. would love to see inside
Is this occupied as a single home? It is really beautiful and so large.

Hi EG CG, This is a wonderful old house. I can relate to your desire to have an office in the tower. I would always want to be sitting in the lookout room at the very top. :-) I am so tempted to link some of my old postcard stuff to Rubbish Tuesday. It's just that I can't bring myself to call those old cards "rubbish" ... Am I too persnickety? John
That is a beautiful house!
This house is exquisite like a rare jewel with windows and arches into the past.
This one looks like it is well loved and lived in. Very pretty. I love the tower!
I would LOVE to live in that home it is gorgeous.
Oh, I love it! We are in an old house (for 36 years as of May, 2015) and know the TLC old homes need. They are so worth it, too.
Wouldn't it be such fun to fill a home like that!
I'm glad you decided to photograph this house again. What a grand old structure!
wow. love those iron roof trims.
Beautiful old Victorian house, but I shudder at the maintenance costs.
I'd love to own that house and turn it into a wonderful B & B. Je reve!
Pretty architecture.
That is one of those houses that makes you wonder about all the people who have lived there. Gorgeous.
I have wanted a house with a tower since I was a little girl!!! I hope you can see the lake! We could share the house!!!!
'Tis a grand old mansion! I love the HDR effect...did you do it as an HDR shot or use effects like I do? Whatever, this is my kind of house; unfortunately, I'll probably never live in one! :)
What a great looking building.
Ah, such a beautiful old house!! I love it!! Right out of a story book!! Another great look at your world!! Thanks as always for sharing!! Have a wonderful day!!
And to think, there was a time when entire families live in these.
A great looking home. A lot of maintenance though I bet.
Oh, EG, it is such a beauty. I'd buy it for the porch alone.
Wow, "Grand" is right! It's gorgeous!!
That has to be one of the most gorgeous houses ever, EG! Must have been one of the richest families in town!
Oh, that's a beauty! Robert always says that if we buy a Victorian with a turret, he's putting coloured glass in the windows and a little train with a light will drive round and round illuminating them! :D
I love it too. I think it would be wonderful to have a place like it. Gorgeous. MB
It would be perfect for a movie!
Boa tarde, a foto é maravilhosa, a casa encanta, está bem captada.

What a beauty! Tom The Backroads Traveller
This is quite a place. It's beautiful but I can't imagine what it must cost to heat it!
Yes it IS grand! Wow!
Gorgeos! Oh yeah, I would like to have my library in a tower like this...
It is fabulous! I am fascinated by Victorian homes.
It sure is a lovely grand old mansion, and an office up there would be so delightful and just imagine the breezes you could catch besides the views too!
That tower would be my reading room for sure.
Beautiful house and she'd lived in it willingly. Regards.
Oh, yes! I can see you waving out the window! And perhaps sitting on the porch in summer with an iced tea...
Very creative photo edit ~ Gorgeous house!
Happy Week to you,
artmusedog and carol

This house is amazing! I would love to live in such a house!
Wow, this house is huge, too!! I love those two little terraces. A person could hide here and never be found!
Very grand, I could have a blast with a place like that.
I adore Victorian homes and this is especially stunning.
Like the hotel in hitchcock's movie !Kind of gothic !great architecture !
That's a charming house. I'd like to have my office in the tower too.
this house seems to come right out from a fairytale :) If I was a writer I would write a story about it :)
So beautiful. I'm a big fan of Victorian houses. Is this private residence or have they converted this to a B&B or office spaces?
Worth a Thousand Words

Quite a grand home! Hope you get your wish to office from there.
That's a beautiful old house. Nice to see it's so well kept.
Looks like a huge house. I do love the architecture of the older buildings.
Nice.
Beautiful house and I love the way you captured the detail and colour.
Beautiful old house!
Truly a grand facade. So well maintained too.
Fortunately, I got to live in an very old (working church) bell tower, and also had my home office in a windowed turret overlooking convergence of roads. Nice capture
Indeed, a grand view from the tower. I am guessing you can see most of the town!
That is a very impressive looking house.
Beautiful building ! I love this kind of architecture !

I just love this old home. I can't imagine the heating bill (I grew up in an old house, not quite as dramatic as this one, but there were many in our area. Heating was expensive! Lots of drafts). You took a gorgeous photo. Great light.
I love the big old homes in your area, so magnificent. Thanks for sharing, there is nothing here that looks like that.
That is one gorgeous place. I can just imagine living there would be grand. And probably costly. lol.
A lot of history sitting there. Lovely building and lovely photo of it.
I haven't been visiting for a few days. Can you believe that I almost missed this crazily wonderful Victorian? There is a similar one in Wethersfield, Connecticut, which I have featured a few times on my blog.
A wonderful dream house! I hope a big family is living there with many children and dogs and cats.
