Interesting work on the photos and thanks for the links to memes ... I have not seen them before ... Glad to find them. Enjoyed your comment on State Nicknames. I agree, they are interesting for sure.
number 3 would look great on my blog, fits my MO.. love it and i like that house. down here we call those Storm shutters, they are used when storms are lurking...
I love those striped shutters. How unusual to close off the upstairs windows and not the downstairs ones but maybe they choose to live only in the downstairs in the winter.
Now those ARE different!! Great shots for the day, as always, and a smile to start mine!! Hope your week is going well!! Enjoy -- camera in hand, of course!!
I love these interesting shutters. And your digital take on them, is brilliant Thanks for the links to the memes. I'm off to check them out. Greetings, Jo
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

Your first photo has great rhythm with those red and white stripes and the white roof.

Very distinctive shutters.

The shutters that keep on giving EG :)

These are delightful stripes!
Creative use of stripes, have always loved shutters around windows.
That is odd! Do they close off the top floor for winter?
I like the original best. Lovely home.
Perfection, thanks.
I have never seen shutters like this! And now I wonder why? They are so much more fun than the plain solid colors.

Totally eye-catching!
Such a bold statement on the house. Awesome
The original is the best for me ...evne if I love the turquoise color of the second one
Great shutters, very interesting effects too!
I love that second shot!
cool shutters and I love the original photo. The first abstract is pretty cool too!
Those shutters are sure colorful! Always fun to stop by and see what everyone is up too!
Mmm..another nice house, interesting photoshop stuff I think I'll go for number one...
Don't think I have ever seen striped shutters.
Neat...always enjoy my visit♪ http://lauriekazmierczak.com/shadows/
Love that first shot. They don't appear to be shutters.
Those stripes are such a statement.

I've not seen anything like this one before. That third modification really takes off. I like that the pattern has become...unrecognizable.
Nice house picture, Ms. TG. Personally I would not like to have red trim on a nice plain white house.
..
Beautiful post.
the red stripes looks gorgeous on that house. My favorite stripe is the first one :)
Not everyone can get away with striped shutters. I wonder what the neighbors think?
Gorgeous view of the shutters in the first photo. So scenic. And some intriguing edits of the stripes.
Very unique for a residence.
that reminds me of an ice cream shop ;)
i'm not sure i love it on a home!!!
Love these red striped shutters ! They look so cheerful !
That looks a bit like summer at the seaside to me even though it's red rather than the usual blue!
Your photography is so creative and colorful for S!
Happy Weekend coming to you,

I like how those stripes evolved.
The View from the Top of the Ladder
Those stripes really stand out!
If the trimming of the house were only blue instead of green, it could be patriotic.
Such cool shutters! Love it!
Makes me think of candy canes and/or Christmas.
No blogging...just catching up a little bit.
You do so well and have inspired me, like the oak leaves. Much fun!
closed up? someone lives there in the Winter? with no light?
Your modifications are fun! I like the black on best.
