number 3 would look great on my blog, fits my MO.. love it and i like that house. down here we call those Storm shutters, they are used when storms are lurking...
I love those striped shutters. How unusual to close off the upstairs windows and not the downstairs ones but maybe they choose to live only in the downstairs in the winter.

I've not seen anything like this one before. That third modification really takes off. I like that the pattern has become...unrecognizable.
