White picket fence
I'm not sure why this home has two front doors. Perhaps one leads to the downstairs and the other to the upstairs.
A few weeks ago, I saw a list of fill-ins in on Rose's blog. I copied the list and filled in the blanks for the first five here. Next I filled groups of five here and here and here.
Now here's 21 through 25:
21. If I were a food I’d apple-pecan-blue cheese salad. Yum!
22. If I were a place I’d be the sandy shore of a lake or ocean on a mild, sunny day.
23. If I were material I’d be wool in winter and cotton in summer.
24. If I were a taste I’d be salty. I can pass by sweets but it’s a struggle to avoid salty foods.

It wasn't uncommon, here, for family members to build a house together and 'split' it. Sibling, parents and child, and so on. They commonly had two front doors like that. Perhaps that's the story for your house as well.
In any case, it's a gorgeous house and I love how you captured it!
Avery impressive house and lovely fence. Enjoyed reading the last 5 on your list.
I would also be salty, If I had to choose :D Great photo. Love the house and fence. The two entrances are interesting and intriguing.

That is a lovely home and fence!
That's a beautiful house along with a pretty white fence :)
Have a fine day

I just adore that style, and you are probably right about the two front doors. In any case, what an elegant design, and lovely porch too!
Love that fabulous old house! And great FIVE from the list! I'll return to my version of the list next week...am doing something a little different tomorrow. But have a FENCES post today as well!
It is a fantastic house isn't it! xx
interesting home, and again to my taste. I would be a citrus scent, followed by an apple one.
I am always 100 percent cotton, even our sheets. the house is really pretty and i wonder if maybe it was a twin house when built, as in for two families. what we call a duplex these days...
Excellent house image and it is number 25, love the smell of apple scent.
Lovely house and a charming fence to go with it.
Yep, that's what I was thinking--a duplex.
gorgeous house!! love your answers. i have never liked wool ... very itchy. i can not wear those kind of sweaters ... i will leave them to you. ha. ha!! ( :
We used to own a farmhouse in Pennsylvania where it's not uncommon to see older houses with two front doors. I was told that in the old days, funerals were often held at home. It was important to have an entrance and an exit to help with the flow of visitors.
Your nice photo could be a picture in a childrens book: once was a house, the had thwo doors. One for the family and on for the fairy goodmother, who cares the children...
baked potato smothered in butter
lonely, secluded beach
freshly cut pine
something salty that's for sure
gotta be anything w/ coconut
House found on the Yellow Brick Road?
I've always like picket fences - nice photo!!
Beautiful home and the fence makes it even more charming.
Enjoyed reading your first five.
Happy Spring.
Hugs, CM
It's a very pretty house but the two doors are a bit strange since it doesn't appear to be a duplex in other respects.
What a lovely home.
great looking place! nice way to make duplex living, i suppose. :)
That's a lovely house, and I agree it's a puzzlement to me why it has two front doors, unless someone has made a sort of condo out of it. Have a great day!
What a lovely house. I love the trim work. It's kind of cool to be able to access the upstairs from the outside but I so hope this isn't a duplex but one big happy family living behind that sweet picket fence.
The fence is almost perfect and your list is very funny!
perhaps it is a duplex, a see them sometimes!!!
if i were a place i would be the beach, i would be alpaca fiber/yarn and my favorite scent is lilacs!!!!
I am glad that one of your readers knows about the two front door houses. I have always wondered about them. If they were here in Utah, I would say maybe a polygamist home.
It's a huge house, there must be room for two families.
I am thinking it's a split house. A beautiful one, too!
Yes, perhaps is a family house... 2 families under the same roof, but separated.
Love: nr. 23 and 24 on the list!!
A sunny Springtime to you!
Yes, I would guess a two family home, too! Great shot for the day as always and I love your list for the day!! Thanks as always for the smiles/giggles to start my day!! Have a wonderful day, stay warm!!
There must be a story behind this beautiful old house.
I love Victorian and white picket fences ... is it possible that this house has been converted into apartments or condos, thus two doors. I would love to live in a place like that, if only for a little while. As for your fill ins, you seem to know yourself well and your fill ins are very defining of the you we don't really gert to know. I must say, I would have to ponder a fill in so long I might lose sight of myself. You did a wonderful job ... except wool makes me itch so I would have to say Fleece :)

Great pic of this gorgeous house! I'm with you on the salty thing. Problem is that lately there seems to be a lot of sweet, salty things popping up. Give me strength!
I love those charming older homes.
The house, trees, and fence are awesome. The house next door to us has two front doors. I believe one is on an addition that was built.
Great looking house and fence. I like the double doors.
Him and her, just a thought, lovely looking house
I would love to live in a grand old house. That one is great and reminds me of my grandparents' house, it had two front doors because they opened into separate living areas with their own kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms, etc. plus another whole set upstairs. My grandparents would rent out the other side and the upstairs or use them for guests.
It is certainly big enough to be a 2 family home!
I'd be salty too - and crunchy! ;-)
That is a really beautiful house and fence. I love all the 'gingerbread' trim. I think the side door is off the closed foyer to the veranda. The front door leads to the closed foyer and there is probably another door into the hall which kept the cold from entering the house. My aunt and uncle's farm house was like that and a lot of older houses in Fredericton's historic downtown are as well.
Are you quite sure that this isn't a mansion? :-)
Do you have chicory? Because apple-chicory-walnut and blue cheese salad with a little bit of walnut or hazelnut oil is just divine!
Lots of ideas here: http://www.ilovechicory.com/
A very impressive house. Lovely capture.
That is a beautiful house. I really like the porch - must be lovely to sit there on a mild evening while the sun is setting, sipping a glass of wine. Odd with the two front doors though, but your thought about it might be right.
The house might have been built for two families.
Italianate , I do believe. Lovely find and capture. The 2 doors make a story too!

Beautiful old house and I'm guessing, with others, that it's a duplex.
That is one beautiful house, love the old style, the color, and the decorative trims, the red doors and do love that picket fence.
Quite a grand place.
Bet it was converted to house two families...a pretty place though...huge! I would hate to clean it...:)JP
What a beautiful, massive building. The fence seems a bit too small for this house.
Beautiful home.
Lovely rendition of the house.
I can't pick a food, there's too many!

Beautiful fence and a lovely house, Tina!
Have a Beautiful Day!
Peace :)
Beautiful home. The two doors just seems kind of off for some reason. Driving around here and there over the years I see two front doors on houses that don't look like duplexes and it always seems a little spooky to me.
Two doors - one for coming in, one for going out, makes perfect sense :-)

Love the house--looks beautiful! If you were a scent, I'd love to buy you as a perfume!
Hi Tina, Nice work on the list!
I love reading your responses to these...I often wonder if it says something about me that I love to read question and answer memes, or where people give so many facts about themselves. could it be that I am nosy?
Oh, this is a beautiful home.
I love it! It looks like a B & B we were in once.
It looks familiar. Love those porches!
