Oh, I love your fancy shadow shots for the day!! I've seen some of these "details" on some new homes here in Portland and I really like them! A nice "look back"!! Hope you're enjoying your weekend!!
That is interesting detail to add to a house, it does give it a rather Victorian air. I like the shadows. I see that kind of detail on houses in Portland, but not so much where I live.
they have something similar, on the house they are building next door to use. the house they have been building for 18 months, and it's till not done!!
i like these little touches, they kind of personalize the home!!!
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

They do evoke that era.
I am not sure about these added bits but I do like your images of them. Have a great weekend.
i love gingerbread on houses and this is beautiful, modern day ginger bread, but what makes the photos special is the LIGHT and the shadows.
It looks really nice indeed.
it does give them the "old" touch. Personally I love gingerbread trim on houses.
I"m not to well versed in Victorian but I wonder is "kinda Victorian" sort of like "kinda pregnant?"
I almost like the shadows better!
I'll have to pay more attention. Haven't seen any signs of a Victorian resurgence. :-)

Nice capture with the shadows.

Instantly I thought of a little gingerbread cottage. I like these extra little attentions to detail of a design.
Lovely bit of gingerbread! Love your photos of it! And wanted to thank you for your sweet comment on my quilting blog!
It's so nice when the sun make shadows.
And the art is lovely.
☺ Have anice day ☺
Great details and photos - of course!! xx
Talk about perfect detailing!!...:)JP
I love Victorian details EG, but they just wouldn't look right on my 1970's house unfortunately :)

* still * still not done!!!
The design and the shadows make for a very interesting combination.
fabulous shadow shot! Cheers!
My favorite kind of details!
That makes a pretty quilting design!
Great shadows, EG!
Love these architectural details and nice play in the shadows.
Hmmm. This one is done rather cheaply, EG, but at least they are trying to make their houses more attractive.
You have a sharp eye for detail!
Shadowy Stone
makes for a lovely shadow
