Home Place Portal was built 15 years ago and, according to the designer, the portal is about change: the past, present and future. It's part of a public park - a magical place - on the north shore of Lake Ontario in Pickering.

The symbolism of the telephone poles is lost on me, which is unusual since I always enjoy contemporary art. Love the lilacs!

Interesting artistic design with the inward leaning poles somewhat reminiscent of the poles in a teepee before the covering wraps around the family/community living there.

Interesting. Modern Stonehenge?
It has a rather mysterious essence, a good one, at that. I love the way the poles all seem to draw the eye.

Those lilacs are such a pretty shade of pink. I've never seen pink ones. Looks like an exciting place to explore!
