Thanks to Michelle at Rambling Woods who sent me the link to a poster of bumblebees found in Ontario, I am now trying to identify the bumblebees I take photos of. Thanks Michelle!

I haven't seen a monarch yet, but there are lots of hummingbirds around my feeder!!!
I've seen a few Monarchs around - they seem to all be heading south!
magnifique ;o)
Nice macro work on your first one.
That Monarch is kingly! I always thought bees were bees, some of the bumble variety and others of whatever. Evidently I was wrong again. Darn!
That's the 2nd time in my whole life!
Your captures are awesome as always!! Beautiful, colorful flowers and happy bees!! Hope you have a great new week!!

That monarch is wonderful, EG. You need help identifying the bees? One is George and the other is Ralph.
All very lovely but that first one is a stunner! Very beautiful....
That Monarch is a beauty!
I am glad you got to see a Monarch at last...wonderful photo of it. I honestly have been thinking I have seen more of them this year than I have in past years. And I don't think I have been out and about that much.
Great bumblebee pics, too.

I only recently learned ( from Michelle probably) that there even are more than one kind of bumblebee. Wonderful to spot a monarch! All beautiful pictures!
You mean there's more than one type of Bumblebee around here!?
Wonderful visitors in your garden!
All the imagaes are superb but the first one is so exquistie.
Always so busy too, great shots!
Great macros of the bees. You can see all the pollen powder on them.
i never thought to figure out which kinds of bumble bees I am seeing. I have seen one monarch this year but wasn't able to get a picture. I think I will try again today. thanks for the inspiration.
I really need to get better at identifying bumbles...fabulous shots and yippee on the monarch!
Beaut shot of the Monarch EG, I must Google and see if we have them here.
Great shots. I didn't know there were different bumble bees. I'll stay tuned to see if you capture shots of others.

Oh! Those bee shots are wonderful! I would've been so nervous taking those shots though...
Fantastic photos! Really like the one of the butterfly.
Bees and butterflies... Two of my favourites!
SPECTACULAR images.
Outstanding monarch shot!
Absolutely gorgeous macro shots!
Gorgeous monarch shot and I love the macro bee shots!
Yea for the monarch! It looks possible that the overwintering population will be bigger this year than last.. depending on the weather.. I am so glad that the poster helped. I have to go make sure I saved it as I am sure to have the same bees and it is so fun to put a name to something.. Michelle
