Door #5 Streets Alive!

 Street side of Door 5

For the past few weeks I have posted some of the art doors on Orillia's downtown streets, seen there from late June to October 13th, 2015. The public was asked to  choose their favourites and the results are in!  I have already posted three of the four winners (see posts below) but this one by Marc Calverly won second prize.

Sidewalk side

What do you think? Would YOU have voted the same way?

1st Prize - If you are a Dreamer HERE
2nd Prize - Door #5 see above
3rd Prize - Door #9 HERE
4th Prize - Door #11 HERE

I really do not know how I would have voted...I really liked them all. But this one does have a lot of appeal. I liked #1 but I also remember there being some others I LOVED.

I really like this one but probably agree with the voting for first place, EG!

I loved all the very creativve way the different artist preceved the door theme. I would have given the 'book's first place then I would have put no 4 in 2nd place.

How very cool, but looks best in the first image where you don't see it is standing there without anything else around it. ;) Neat post!

I do like this one, EG, but I must admit that the first selection is pretty good, too, maybe even better.

Love these doors. They look like charming cottage doors and I love the colors.
Thanks for sharing and for stopping by too.
Have a great week ahead.

This door might as well say, "C'mon in, we are a friendly bunch".
So beautiful and I love that shade of blue.
Nice find and catcha, Tina!
Have a Beautiful Week!
Peace :)

I've loved them all but I think my favorite is "If you are a Dreamer." This one so looks like a hobbit's door. It's very sweet.

No, like you I'd have probably passed this one by. I love the winner though.

Door One, would be lovely in fron of the bookstore where i tell Tuesday Stories . .
BUT, I'd choose Door two - (the one you have here for me to sigh over) - over the others . . . I think i could dream forever looking at that door and imagining . . . .

Tank you!

Be Interesting to hear the Judges' rationale... This one is sweet but doesn't seem as creative as the other lower runners up. Thanks for the link backs, I had missed a couple of them.

Could be my favourite so far! Like walking into a magic book (not unlike a secret garden or even a wardrobe!!!)

What a wonderful idea! I looked at the three you linked to from this page. I'm an avid book lover, but in fact this one steals my heart. I would love to live in a house with a door like this. And the metal one would be the garden gate!
