Old Barn
This barn, although it has seen better days, is still being used for housing cattle. I watched the cattle head for a distant back field but was too slow to capture them in the photo!

As you can see, this building has lots of "air-conditioning" vents for this hot day but it must be rather chilly in winter.

That's a great barn with lots of 'character' showing in its years.
An artistic photo but it doesn't look like a very comfortable winter shelter.

The first thing I thought of was winter! How do the poor things handle that with all the air conditioning?
That's a fine old barn you got there. I love the orangey red patina of the metal roof and the graysih color of the siding. The building in the foreground looks like it has some split cedar or something siding. That old fence is nice also.
I think the cows ought to be fitted with those construction helmets...this place looks about read to collapse on top of them!

Oh my goodness, it looks like a good strong wind would blow this one over.
Must be a very draughty cattle shed; they'd probably be warmer and certainly safer outside!

Canada, winter, holes in the barn--that DOES sound cold. :-)
It looks like a good wind would easily take down the bigger barn. It may not provide well insulated protection in winter but it's probably better than nothing (as long as it doesn't collapse on the critters).
Good thing the cows haven't a clue as to the peril they live under.
It's very homey, but I'm sure the cows don't mind.

Yes that's true in winter it is probably not an ideal place for the cattle, but to me this barn looks so romantic !
There's something beautiful about these old barns. I hope the cattle stays warm. I guess they have each other to huddle with.
I wonder about these barns. They are beautiful, but so sad seeing them fall apart.
In fact the 'vents' must be worrying in winter...
