Field and barn on October 1st
As you can see, the trees are still looking quite green, but the night temperatures are falling sharply so it won't be long for it to look like autumn here. The cut field looks like fall, though.

Yup... cold night temperatures do indicate that fall is very close. I hope to take a fall driving tour soon.
It all looks and sounds very similar to the weather over here at the moment. My favourite time of year.

Fall is slow to arrive here in Minnesota, too. You caught the autumn spirit in these photos.

Looks much like it does here in Texas. Many of our farmers are making their last hay cut of the year and the temps have dropped here into the high 40s/low 50s during the evening and we have gorgeous 70/80s during the day. I could live like this forever!

Three excellent images, EG. I am getting nervous about the delay in having the leaves turn. Last time that happened, there was an early ice storm and lots of trouble with broken trees and downed power lines.

I, unlike many, am happy to see green still all over. I know fall is inevitable, I accept that, but I'm holding on to the green as long as possible.
Time sure flies fast.
Lovely photos. Loved the barn and the contrast between fields in the last photo. Any field not irrigated here is brown, and since our water is rationed, most fields are not irrigated.
