Frost on sunroom window (February 2016(
G is for GLITZ, nature's glitz.
Nature puts on a show all year long, even in winter. Here are three examples of nature's winter glitz: two from this year and one from a couple of years ago.
Melting icicles (February 2016)
The sun is moving towards the spring equinox so the sun is getting warmer and melting ice and snow that form icicles.
Ice storm, December 2013
Beautiful but scary was the ice storm that hit Ontario a couple of years ago. Isn't it amazing how icicles formed on each and every needle of this pine?

Excelente trabalho e belas fotografias.
Um abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.
Wow! That ice storm must have been scary but it did make for beautiful frozen ice sculptures of nature!
nice shots :)
Nice set of macros. All good, I am drawn to the last one.
today all three photos are my favorite... i can't pick just one. the glitz is gorgeous.. and FREE.. that frost on the window is amazing.
Wonderful glitz. I like the idea of a sock knitting karate teacher. She sounds like an interesting person.
That first shot is awesome cool. Winter does put on a glitzy show sometimes. Your family member who knits socks and also teaches karate sounds like a talented lady who loves life. I need more hobbies besides this dumb computer (wherein lives all my hobbies, from genealogy to blogging). Mostly I just need to get outdoors more! LOL!
The frost and ice are beautiful, but I sure look forward to warm weather. :) And, your final word has a totally different meaning in the health field.
Beautiful frost images.
Gee Whiz! This is a very creative post. Isee icicles!
Some creative ice for a few great pictures!
Love your first photo of frost on the window!

Great capture on the melting ice and the needles of pine is awesome… though I know ice storms aren’t easy thing, but what it creates seems to be fabulous.

I love that first shot. Frost has a way of looking beautiful :)
Your frost is exquisite, Tina, like ferns becoming butterflies. The pine icicles are amazing, too. We didn't get any snow that stuck around this year as yet.
spectacular glitz!
Fantastic!
I love them all, but find the Ice Storm one just simply amazing. It looks like something some one would desigm out of glass/crystal.
The frost pattern is so beautiful! All these ice sculptures ... really impressive!
The first photo of the frost looks like butterflies to me.

And that ice is thick too!! There must have been a lot of damage done to the trees because of that storm!!!...:)JP
I don't long for snow but I certainly am impressed with the cold weather shots you've gotten from yours. These are wonderful!
Beautiful pictures, you must get serious cold compared to us....
