Not quite autumn (officially, anyway)
We still have a few frost-free days yet...but it does feel a lot like autumn with cool nights and warm days....and a few days of morning fog.
Largest square: Monarchs are sipping nectar from a butterfly bush blossom (Buddleia). I have seen monarchs in my yard and in many wild places so I'm hoping the population is up all over North America.
Moving clockwise: obedient plant (Physotegia). wild crab apples, mourningcloak on butterfly bush, spotted jewelweed (Impatiens capensis) and willow herb (Epilobium hirsutum).
