Feeling Crabby?/ Today's Flowers

Crabapple blossoms

Upstate New York crabapple (Malus baccatta) trees were in bloom last weekend. Aren't these flowers beautiful?

Crabapple trees are part of my childhood memories...climbing in a neighbor's yard to swipe one on the way to school...

Great fun. Beautiful shot!

I'm still stunned by how far ahead your spring is compared to ours. Beautiful colours in this shot.

What a beautiful macro of the apple blossoms! It's a shame it's known as a 'crab'apple!

They are gorgeous, EG... We had a crabapple tree in our yard in Virginia when I was a child. Mom would make Crabapple Jellly... SO good. Haven't had any since leaving home.

Hugs,
Betsy

I have never seen a crabapple. Wonder how it looks like but the flowers are pretty.

Love any Apple Blossom. Crab apple trees are the best pollinators for other apple trees.

My computer has been very crabby all day and it wasn't until this evening I could get out to see others blogs. MB

Gorgeous!! Both this and the monochrome apple blossoms! I love the way you can see the veining in the petals!! I took a gazillion photos of them here, so will post them over the next week.
