Provincial Flower/ SOOC

Great white trillium - Ontario's provincial flower

This photo hints at why the great white trillium (Trillium grandiflorum) is Ontario's official flower. This time of year, the beautiful white blossoms decorate the floor of many deciduous forests throughout Ontario.

Great captures. We don't have great white trillium, here. I love learning about new birds and flowers from other bloggers.

Love this shot Kerri. We have great patches of them here too, and as they age they turn pink.

Beautiful photos, EG. We have trillium in the Smokies--but don't know if it's the same as yours. Love those white flowers.

Hugs,
Betsy

I love trilliums. I wish they grew in my yard and not just by the river.

So many!!! We only get one or two and so far apart, it is a treat to see them. We have the white and the purple ones or is that the older ones?
