Shadows/ Creative Exchange

 Shadows on landing

Last Thursday the sun was bright and the shadows strong when my husband and I visited Fenelon Falls, Ontario.  These shadows are on the wooden landing and stairs to the lookout to view the falls. I was intrigued by the lines created by the shadows of the iron railings.

That's great, especially the first photo with the contrast between the rough lumber and the water.

Gorgeous shots, the air looks so crisp and clean, and the water so very, very cold.

Lovely sunshine and blue skies recently.... I just wish it wasn't quite so cold today.

I do like those lines, I'm always intrigued by lines and angles in photo composition. I wonder what it would have looked like with an ultra-wide-angle lens, pointed slightly down?

Cast shadows certainly make for an interesting play of pattern! Fun combo of hard reality and shifting light and shadow!

What a study in lines. I prefer the first image, but both are fantastic. The touch of water-puts it over the top for me. Great shadow finds.
