Early October

Milkweed seeds escaping on silky parachutes

When I see milkweed in my my gardens, I dig it out. BUT when I see it in a natural setting I can't resist photographing it.

Early October

This week we have experienced mixed weather: fog, rain and sun. The temperature has been rather nice throughout. Kids (and adults) still enjoy beach combing even though the leaves are changing, berries are ripening and seeds are drying. It has been a lovely fall so far.

I am Linking to Mosaic Monday HERE

The collage is lovely and so is the single milkweed shot. I love seeing those seeds sparkling in the sun.

That is a beautiful collage. I love the name of your blog -- I don't know if that is a family name, but it makes me think of Jane Austen and her characters!

Very pretty collage! It looks so perfectly autumnal with the berries and the foliage, the mists and the milkweed.

Love the milkweed pod exploded. My late MIL painted milkweed (series) and your photo reminded me of her. Thank you.

The photos are amazing . . . the mosaic beautiful.

We have had a lot of egrets on the beach all summer. That is a new phenomenon.

I love to see milkweed as I know it attracts butterflies. Their seed pods and seeds are so pretty. I love your mosaic photos. Beautiful! We've had 10 straight days of sunshine to be interrupted by rain tomorrow. I think we might need a little bit now. :)

We're having a lovely autumn in the UK too though it's causing problems in the garden as everything has stopped growing except the weeds which still think it's midsummer! I always love your collages.

Milkweed does photograph well - but as you've said - it's no fun in a garden. Lovely autumn shots!
