Egret Taking Off

 Up,

This egret was quietly foraging for food when it heard a loud truck not too far away.
Up,
And away!

It took off so suddenly that my focus is a little off...but you get the idea.

I am linking to I'd Rather B Birdin'  HERE.

It's beautiful and I see nothing wrong with your focus! These guys can get spooked very quickly if you get too close. At least they do for me!

That last frame looks like it could be an advertisement for a commercial airline. :-)

Hi EG I sure get the idea. I think these shots are great as it is not easy to get the flight shots so easily.

Up, up and away.

But it is no superman.

It is an egret.

These guys look great when they are just sitting there doing nothing. To see them fly (especially this close) is amazing. They have some incredible wingspan. Fantastic photos!

Birds are such amazing creatures. I am in awe of the strength they have in their wings.
