Boathouses/ Watery Wednesday

Boathouses at entrance to harbour in Beaverton, Ontario

I've posted this for Jacob who said he wanted to see a coloured version of the boathouses when I posted this (cropped a bit) in monochrome. Click here to see the black and white photo.

I like color better too. Love the splash of red. My friend has a red canoe and it makes for great pictures on the beach or in the water. MB

BTW: I don't spin but I did just get a wheel and not will learn. MB

I like the color better too, EG... Some B&W's are great... But--this picture is pretty in color. Wouldn't it be neat to live on the water --and go downstairs to get in your boat???? Wow!
Hugs,
Betsy

What a beautiful place, looks kind of norwegian but I guess it isn't.

I've never seen anything like that. I've read about a lot of boathouses in books, so now this image will be in my mind.

Oh wow. To live like this.

These look familiar. Are they?

OK, forget my previous comment, I hadn't read the "for Jacob" bit. I love the b&w though of course the red is enticing.

It's beautiful!
And that boat is only one detail because the boathouses took the scene! :)
Perfect post dear friend,

Boathouses are very different from the houseboats we have around here. I love your photo of the boathouses.

Lovely nautical colours! They look quite cosy - I like that they have two floors.

I've always been fascinated by boat houses. And always wanted a taste of living there.

It must be lovely to stay in one of those and hear the water splashing against the house while you sleep.

Those are literally boat houses. It must be nice to live above your boat. I think I prefer the color version as well.

Well done!

I like both pics - I like whatever it is that you do to your b&w's, but I also like color.

Happy Watery Wednesday!

I like the sharpness in the picture. I feel like I'm in the middle of the picture.

Interesting. They look like ordinary houses, but with boats rather than cars in their garages. Cool.

That shot looks so peaceful and calm. We all need a bit of relaxation like this. Happy WW!

Stan said...

That's watery. Are the houses also floating?

Dimple said...

This is very nice. I'd like to live in the house part, except not in the winter!

Stephany said...

Both versions are lovely but the color looks more peaceful. Great shot!

Wow, what an amazing job color does. In this picture it works like a time machine! The B&W picture looked so vintage, and this one is absolutely up to date.

I do like the color version best. It's so subtle and clean feeling. What a different life style that is with a boat in the garage...I also like that splash of red. Very nice photo!
