This reminds me of my trip to Canada in 2001... On our last day we visited Niagara-on-the-Lake and we walked down to Lake Ontario and there was a gazebo just like this... but it was the end of February/beginning of March so there was plenty of snow on the ground! It was a lovely trip and one I'd love to make again, so thanks for the reminder :)
You really caught the sense of bleak coldness...reminds of so many lakes I've seen raked by cold winds...I get chilled just looking at this very attractive composition!
Nifty shot! Love the architecture of that Gazebo!!!!! Enjoyed seeing the turbulant water through different sections fo the gazebo. I could almost feel a poem coming seeing that photo. . .
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

That is beautiful. Wonderful contrast of wood and water.

Jacob is right - it does look cold! I love the contrast between the wood and the water, solid and fluid, controlled and rampant!
I like your work so much. Each image on this page is a winner. Well done.
Too cold for anyone to rest there? I took a photo here we call kiosk, it is wooden too, and is very famous because the queen came to rest here,

I really like this picture. Very well done!
A fine picture which looks rather cold and 'let's get home to the fire'.
I love the details. Have you posted this gazebo before? I remember a color picture of a gazebo by the ocean.
I love all the texture and depth in this one. You can almost feel the wind whipping off the photo.
Calico Contemplations
what a great spot for a picnic!
There's something so terribly romantic about a gazebo right on the water, isn't there?
The wood texture against the water works real well.
Ohhh... This place is beautiful, and I can smell it and feel the fresh air throug you picture. Great in monochrome:)
Thank you very much for your warm greeting :) It feels soooo good to be back and discover that you have been missed ;)
Have a wonderful day :)
I'm freezing just by looking at this picture. Nice catch, like the symmetry.
