A maple tree growing in the back of this old pickup truck
Perfect for a rural property, this truck planter is a tad bit bulky for an urban doorstep.
This week's Photo Hunter challenge: bulky

A great rural capture! That truck needs more than a little oil and gas! I took a photo of an old Trabant car in East Berlin before the fall of the Wall; someone had made the engine space into a flower planter!
I know there is a joke here, but I'm just not sure what it is.
This is definitely bulky, but it is a great find.
This is great. I love it for the theme.
How unique is that!! Great find once again.
Definitely something one doesn't see everyday either!
EG: I guess that gives you an idea of how long the truck has been there.
what a find!
A bit rusty, too! It looks good out in the middle of nowhere, though! Nice capture!
Classic Dodge! Cool shot and perfect for the theme. :)

An abandoned truck!

Maybe not quite the thing to drive around at the moment - but nice to see!
Excellent shot. What a wonderful end to thetruck even if it was unintended.. or was it? Happy weekend
great take on the theme.
mine is over at http://ewok1993.wordpress.com
Hey, That's a great idea... Truck Planters all over the yard ----that would keep George from mowing at all, wouldn't it?????? ha ha ha
Hugs,
Betsy
You've jumped a few centuries from buggy to the truck and it's just as fabulous a photo!
My hubby always wanted to invent a machine that could restore these old vehicles just by pointing it at the old heap. LOL
Love the picture EG.

That is so hilarious! I don't think that will become popular in my neighborhood!
I Love it. There is a similar truck not too far from here and I always say I am going to take a pic of it---growing trees. But something stops me and I don't know why.
Yours is perfect. MB
a maple tree at the back of that truck?! a unique planter, indeed.:p
amazing find.
I like your style!!!!
You ask how cold is it here in South Texas?.....well, my answer [and bulky plumage of bird] is my Photo Hunt Post today. LOL

Love this one....reminds of the past and how this pick up car helps a lot of people before. Thanks for sharing!

What great photos! Love them. I think that vehicles of the 30s and 40s were rather bulky in shape. The 60s got a little sleeker... but the aerodynamics didn't kick in until, when, the 80s?
I goofed for Photo Hunters this week, and did "12" instead of "Bulky." :S Oops. But I decided to leave it up because it's appropriate for this week... and because I didn't want to spend an hour doing a different post! I hope you can visit.
