Hey, guys! The ice is off the pond. Let's swim!
Doesn't this metal sculpture look like it's thinking about jumping in? It was raining slightly, but the bird didn't seem to care. You can find more photos celebrating Watery Wednesday at http://waterywednesday.blogspot.com

My, My what a big heron you have found!!!! I wish they all stood that still.
This is the largest heron I've seen! It looks like it's going to attack that big bass lurking at the side of the pond.
It also looks like your snow is gone and spring is apringing!
I'm afraid the water is still a little too chilly for me, but that guy certainly looks ready to go. Great capture.
wow, what a heron. It almost looks like it cannot walk well since it is so tall with such long legs. nice capture
No ice? Are you sure you took this picture in Canada? LOL!

When I first saw this I actually said out loud ;whoa, that's a huge Heron' and then of course I see it isn't real. It is kinda neat though. Doesn't it look strange to see no snow? Wonderful!! MB
at first I thought it was real--and then I thought, no it's holding its neck all funny. great picture . . .
He does indeed! I wish I had the talent to make something like that. He's very regal there!
(gasp) I bet I could get real close for a bird photo!
One more step and its in! Looks just like my heron from awhile back except mine was real and the water was a bit further away.
I also left a comment on the post below.
Another death by drowning. So sad.
It's time to dive in for a little bit, I suspect the water is still icy cold.
It really does, as if it had been sorely missing its watery pond... :) Incredible catch with your police officers in the previous one...
God bless you!

Very interesting sculpture. The ice may have melted but I fear the water may just be a bit chilly for a dip.

I hope not rust ...
:-)
Beautiful shot!
Swim? No thanks!
I will enjoy the view. :)
Nifty sculpture.
Mine’s here: Round The Bend.
Great shot!! Had me fooled there for a minute! ~karen
Now thats a very realistic looking statue - and some still very cold looking water. No wonder its having to think about going in lol
Someone has a wonderful sense of humour! I love the heron! It adds some interest to an otherwise ordinary pond! Is that a left-over sunflower beside the heron?
nice one! are those cannon ball holders in the background??? :)
ohh! i like it a lot, if i had a place to put it, wouldn't mind having it, very cool!
That Heron looks right at home. Great shot EG.
Rain and fog almost all day here, but at least it isn't that white stuff.
B.
great photo and yes, he really look as if he should jump in any moment. The strange cut tree on a row in behind looks fun to

What a big and lovely heron! I would love to put him at the side of my pond...*smile*. Great capture!
So, did you jump in with him? :)
the water looks icy still. but i'm sure the heron wouldn't mind.:p
Wow,what a heron:)
Lovley shot!
After the heron what caught my eye were the trees. They look like giants in gnomeland.
Imagine having legs like that.
An excellent and funny shot! A real close up.
At first I thought it was real...then realized it's way too tall! Fabulous photo.
STOP! IN THE NAME OF LOVE... is my Wednesday entry!! do come by if you can, I'd love to have your company today.
what a clever sculptor, he made it so real that I had to look carefully.
My teaching space is called Kotuku which is Heron in Maori.
This is a lovely photo, and I like the heron sculpture, almost looks real at a quick glance.
