We are now approaching Canada, a foreign country (if you are not Canadian)
Two official languages!
Snow! (Isn't that what you expected?) Welcome to the Great White North!

Thanks for the Welcome, I'll wait until the snow is gone tho. Do you speak both languages?

What a nice take on 'foreign'. But I think of Canada as a neighbor, not a foreign land.
Ahh! Our 51st state;just kidding.
I always get so excited when we go through those gates into Canada! Such grand beauty ahead!!
great take on the theme. I'm sure those gates were busy during the Olympics.
Of course I expected to see snow in your pictures -- that's where I come for my daily fix!!!!!!!! To me THIS YEAR, snow is foreign!
I hate these formalities. Make most of us feel like the criminals we're not.
As Ciel said, I also hate these formalities, but it's necessary.I will go for a VISA this year because I really want to visit your country!

Wonderful take. Hope to cross the border this year.
Happy weekend.
I've been to Canada once. Well, for just a minute. We went over the border north of Grand Marais, Minnesota and then had to come back 'cause my in-laws didn't have the proper paper work for their little toy poodle.
Very good EG. I would think it might get confusing if you didn't know what those signs said.
You have a BEAUTIFUL country!

Great picture, EG... George and I visited a piece of Canada when we went to Niagara Falls and stayed on the Canadian side... It was GREAT.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
I haven't been to Canada for a long time - I'm over due!
O Canada ......
Interesting---so there is snow in Canada but not in the US. Heyare you giving us a snow job? LOL
My sister is a Canadian citizen so we are sisters across the border and that is how I think of you and all Canada. MB
