Empty lumber cars crossing over a railway bridge
This train looks like it's stopped, but it was moving northwesterly to North Bay, Ontario and then to points west. The lumber cars are returning to pick up a new load.
The Canadian National Railway passes through East Gwillimbury many times every day heading west to Prince Rupert, British Columbia on the Pacific Ocean...or east to Halifax, Nova Scotia on the Atlantic Ocean...or to three U.S. ports (Mobile, Alabama, New Orleans, Louisiana, and Gulfport, Mississippi) on the Gulf of Mexico.
