Mid January and Brrrr!
NO Kidding no swimming! But perhaps you can see the cleared ice behind the fence in the largest photo, perfect for a bit of outdoor exercise on skates. Moving clockwise, icicles, birds vying for for space at a feeder, shadows on snow around young evergreens, a male goldfinch perched above a feeder waiting for his turn, and dried grass in a wetlands area.

I like the turquoise birdhouse with the gold birds. Nice colors and a nice collage.
You should put the No Swimming pic on some silly signs meme!
Very nice montage here.
So you don't want to go swimming? :D I miss seeing goldfinches. Love the photos!
Excellent shots, EG. So crisp, so clear, so cold, so blue. BRRRRRR!!!

burrrrrrrrrrr. Spring is coming!!!
So beautiful. I love the little yellow bird. What a cheerful sight.
Nice collage! It really does look cold where you are!
That is hilarious! Love it!
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day.

Great collage, EG. Love the "No Swimming" sign.
I was going to ask what program you use to do your collages?
And yes, we do see a lot of Canadians down here...most of them with Ontario license plates!
It may have been cold when you took these pictures, but at least the sun was shining. We've had nearly a week of gray, overcast skies (and snow). I'm about ready to go to Florida!
What a nice glimpse into your world. I think I'll pass on the swimming though ;).

Darn it! I felt like taking a dip!!
I guess the sign doesn't apply to goldfinches? Or maybe they can't read yet. Cute shots in any case! :)
Beautiful pics!
one of my favorite collages!
An interesting icy mosaic, the bird house is lovely!
Well, I promise not to swim! Brrr!
Great images .... and thanks for visiting my photoblog!

Such lovely birds at the feeder! We should get one too!
Maybe they were doing a "Polar Bear Swim" fundraiser in the cold, Canadian water, eh?
The no swimming sign made me laugh. Brrrrr it is cold in your neck of the woods. The icicles are so beautiful and I loved the little bird. All great winter shots.
Love your collage! In a collage (or on the otherside of the window) winter always seems more bareable.
Maybe our 2" of snow isn't so bad after all. :-) Enjoyed your wintry collage.
It's brrr here too, but so wonderful to see these birds. Great collage!
The colour of those finches is gorgeous. All the snow is gone here, but I think I would like to have some more before spring comes.
No swimming indeed! Great "cold" collage.

Good to see the birds are getting something to eat, it's difficult to find a snack in the snow.
What glorious icicles!! Just not to sit under. Great shots all.
I just acquired some red polls from up your way and boy do they dominate the thistle feeders. This is the first time in several years...I like the creativity you have in your montages....Michelle
Beautiful photos, and the No Swimming sign made me laugh.
