Corny Sunrise/ SkyWatch

Sunrise last Saturday

Five-thirty seems a bit early to get up on a Saturday but, but, but...the sky was promising a beautiful sunrise.

In memory of Klaus Peter, owner of the Sky Watch meme. May he rest in peace.

I say this sunrise was well worth getting up early!

Never to early to capture a beautiful sky photo. I like the way the corn is barely tinged with the orange as well.

not a bit corny to me. a gorgeous sunrise, my favorite time of the day and a cool silo

Judy said...

Wow, Wow, Wow!!! That is awesome!

Birdman said...

Wow! Worth it!

Lowell said...

Oh, yum! This is superb. Love the way you composed it, too...the silo really spikes the picture!

I was wondering if corn should be knee-high by July 4, how high should it be on August 18? Rhetorical question. Unless, of course, you have the answer tucked away in your vast storehouse of knowledge...

Wow! Spectacular! I don't plan to get up at 5:30 very often, but these days it just seems to happen from time to time. Might as well grab your camera.

I'm so glad you got up early! I would never see a sunrise if it wasn't for early bird photographers.

RedPat said...

Not a time of day that I am walking let alone photographing! Great.

Francisca said...

So tell me, EG, how do you know there's going to be this spectacular sunrise? Or do you get out and positioned just right at the quake of dawn every Saturday? I admire your dedication and appreciate the result!

Probably the best time of the day, that first hour as the sun peeks over the horizon, standing there wondering if you will get that display that you are trying to capture once more!..... thanks for sharing your time!.....:)

Hi there - thats a really great picture - I think we can try and hide functional aspects of landscape as we try to make everything look like a chocolate box cover - really like the farm buildings.

Weather in Tasmania is not always kind - have a look at "Obscured by Clouds" April 30th on "my other blog" for a different view of weather in Tas!
