Sunrise last Saturday
Five-thirty seems a bit early to get up on a Saturday but, but, but...the sky was promising a beautiful sunrise.
In memory of Klaus Peter, owner of the Sky Watch meme. May he rest in peace.

It is beautiful, EG! Liked your title, too.
Beautiful, I love it. I love your title also.
I say this sunrise was well worth getting up early!
Never to early to capture a beautiful sky photo. I like the way the corn is barely tinged with the orange as well.

not a bit corny to me. a gorgeous sunrise, my favorite time of the day and a cool silo
Wow, Wow, Wow!!! That is awesome!
Wow! Worth it!
Oh, yum! This is superb. Love the way you composed it, too...the silo really spikes the picture!
I was wondering if corn should be knee-high by July 4, how high should it be on August 18? Rhetorical question. Unless, of course, you have the answer tucked away in your vast storehouse of knowledge...
perfect!
you are crazy to be up at 5:30 but wow, was it worth it! awesome picture!! love the title too :)
Wow! Spectacular! I don't plan to get up at 5:30 very often, but these days it just seems to happen from time to time. Might as well grab your camera.
Nothing "corny" about this one. It's downright beautiful.
That was worth getting up early for.I love it.
Wow - thanks for getting up and letting us enjoy this spectacular sunrise!
The things I miss in the mornings... :-)
I'm so glad you got up early! I would never see a sunrise if it wasn't for early bird photographers.
Not a time of day that I am walking let alone photographing! Great.
So tell me, EG, how do you know there's going to be this spectacular sunrise? Or do you get out and positioned just right at the quake of dawn every Saturday? I admire your dedication and appreciate the result!
You have been an early bird and got very beautiful catch :)
Lovely!
Happy weekend to you!
Hope you wewnt back to bed :-)
Soemhow the sky is looking cold now, even when orange.
Nicely balanced with the silo.

You live in such a beautiful place. I marvel every time I come here.
A great memorial to a special blogger. It was definitely worth getting up early for this sky!
Probably the best time of the day, that first hour as the sun peeks over the horizon, standing there wondering if you will get that display that you are trying to capture once more!..... thanks for sharing your time!.....:)
this is a perfect shot to remember Klaus with. it is beautiful. i love the silo standing so erect against the stunning sunrise. know you are glad you got up instead of staying in bed with another cup of tea. genie

That sky is worth getting up for (easy for me to say). I love the way it looks behind the silo.
"oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day. oh, what a beautiful morning...everything's going my way". whenever I'm feeling a bit down, I sing that song and I'm immediately feeling better. kind of like looking at your photo. I feel so much better. happy day to you EG. this is rich.

Hi there - thats a really great picture - I think we can try and hide functional aspects of landscape as we try to make everything look like a chocolate box cover - really like the farm buildings.
Weather in Tasmania is not always kind - have a look at "Obscured by Clouds" April 30th on "my other blog" for a different view of weather in Tas!
