These photos, while beautiful, remind me of how conflicted I was when I saw "Tree of Life", during which animated versions of hollyhocks or somethiing similar danced for what seemed like hours.
I love hollyhocks! I'm determined to plant them again, although 40 years ago I tried to get rid of some and it was a daunting task. I figure now I'm old enough that by the time they need to be dug up I'll be long gone and someone else will have to worry about it!
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

Stunning!
Lovely! So much details...
Stunning macro!
I love the last shot with all the pollen on it. Of course, it would make me sneeze, but it's a great capture.

These are beautiful macros. I especially like the first picture.
Breathtaking close-ups of red hollyhocks! The first looks jucy purplish red while the second looks luminous mellow red.
Those different kinds of red are fabulous!
So beautiful!
Great macro shot!
Beautiful details in these macros EG!

Beautiful EG! I think this is what we call Hibiskus :)
Amazing!

I planted some hollyhocks, but I don't think they'll bloom this year. Hopefully next year I'll get their bright color!
the shadow and light in these photos is stunningly beautiful!
Can you imagine what a puzzle these would make?
Both shots are gorgeous!
Marvelous and colorful macros... they are beautiful flowers seen this way!
I love holly hocks :)
