Q/ Alphabe-Thursday

 Queen Beans, Port Perry

I have a feeling the Queen of Canada (Elizabeth II) knows nothing about this coffee shop. I know very little myself as I took this photo because I liked the shadow cast by the logo.

Official emblem of the Queen of Canada's Diamond Jubilee

This year is a BIG one for Queen Elizabeth II, her Diamond Jubilee - 60 years on the throne of England.

 Hotel Queens, Barrie

I doubt any queen  has ever stayed here.

Queen of spades & queen of diamonds

I wonder if Elizabeth II plays cards and if when she does the queen trumps all. Hmmm.

I been reading about the queen's anniversary! That's a long time.

The coffee shop, though, may simply be referring to a queen bee. Or a bee queen. Or a prom queen. You think?

A very good, special post today. I like the shadow cast too. Interesting series.

I don't know if Her Majesty plays cards, but I know that she likes horses races! Long life to the Queen(s) of all kinds!:o)

Great queen captures! I had to LOL about the queen not knowing about her coffee shop ;-)

I don't think the old girl trumps much these days. Royalty is an anachronism.

Funny images to salute a strong lady, this is a very long time on the throne.

Hey there EG girl !
I wonder if there is a Queen of Beans as in can beans you eat? LOL
These are great pictures .. but I am not a monarchist .. Canada has to put on her BIG girl panties and get rid of the waste and cost associated with ridiculous royalty! LOL

Great theme for your post today. I believe that the Queen trumps all and Elizabeth certainly knows it! :)

She's a tough old girl, isn't she? Ever wonder what she carries in that little purse? A dollar perhaps? Just in case of an emergency?

We have ERII as "Queen of Australia" also, but she is so far removed from our everyday affairs that it difficult to think of her as our notional "head of state"...
The republica movement here in Australia is gaining strength.

I really like both the signs...like the name of the coffee house and love the style/shape of the hotel one.

My mom has a cookie tin from The Queen's coronation in 1952. :)

Good for you for finding all of the Q's. That's dedication!

Quite a fun post Tina! I haven't been to Port Perry for a couple of years, that looks like a new shop.
I doubt a queen has ever stayed at the Queen's in Barrie either. :-)

Can you imagine being queen for 60 years? I'm sure it was fun at first, but to never have a private life would be difficult. Wonderful photos.

beautifully composed images!!

I am betting you have an alphabet pic file where you have been storing away Queen photos. No one could gather up all these Q pictures on the spur of the moment.

Get to work on R!

I met the Queen once. She came to dig the first hole for our QE11 hospital. That was a long time ago. Construction on a new hospital has begun. I wonder what it will be called?

I find it quite easy to imagine the Queen playing a cosy game of bridge with corgis underfoot!
