I seldom see horses around here anymore let along horses with a coat.

It's like a horsey fashion show! :)

Sometimes it gets cold here so people do put blankets on their horses. Not their cows, though, which I think is nothing less than sheer discrimination! ;)

In the first shot, I know what that horse is thinking, but I'm going to keep it a secret. A very handsome horse, btw!

Lots of horses around here, but most are toasty in warm barns.

I always feel sorry for horses in winter, they still need to be out from time to time, but its so cold for them.
All the best Gordon.

Is it just me, or is there a silhouette on that horse's forehead? The nose pointing upwards, between the eye and the ear. And earmuffs on the silhouette...

I'm not out in the cold, and I'm not alone, yet I envy the calm I see in these photos.

That is so much fun to see, EG! They certainly need a coat this winter.

It is good to see the owners are taking such good care of these horse with their blankets on their backs and to have sunshine to keep them warm somewhat. Great captures!

This has been such a hard winter for the animals. I just went out and put a warm coat over my Millie goat. Great pictures.

I hope they are warm enough under those blankets. They appear so. What beauties!
