Peanut Feeder

 Downy woodpecker at peanut feeder

We have a couple of peanut feeders loved by local woodpeckers. The top photo is of a feeder that hangs from an apple tree.

Our other feeder, this one hanging from a metal stand

This feeder is emptying quickly.

Yummy peanuts

Peanuts at the bottom taste the best, right?

I am linking with Saturday Critters HERE.

So cute! Haven't seen one all winter and then I put a bird bell ( Honey-Nut ) on a pine out front and there was a little woodpecker one morning! I was thrilled. He left by the time I got my camera, though! :)

Oh how nice, I'd love to get one of those feeders. I'm sure there must be some hungry woodpeckers around who would appreciate it. Where did you get it? Great pictures!

I like the feeders, haven't seen one like that. Hanging upside down to get a meal is amazing.

We have Acorn Woodpeckers and they seem satisfied with sunflower seeds. I don't see any sense in starting something new with a peanut feeder. I'll save peanuts for myself.

What a great contraption. Feeding birds always brought me a lot of joy. That will be one of the downsides of living in an apartment.

It's a good thing I'm not around, otherwise your pretty birds would go hungry... :-)
