Gate to an old estate
This is the entrance to an estate that looks to be still intact, not broken up into smaller lots that have been sold off. But this is in an area where lots of "old money" still owns property.

Well, I'm glad that you finally got some photos of the gate of our summer home. We tend to go to Florida in the winter, but make sure that someone puts a red ribbon on the gate.
Oh yes, even though I live in this snowy land of Minnesota, I can and still appreciate a great winter scene! This is marvelous! Lovely old place too!

lovely, We have a big old house with an old gate like this in our neighborhood. There is something so graceful about them.
That is so beautiful. I love the bits of red, and snow makes such pretty photos.
I think a gate and gateposts in front of a house, whether it's a posh mansion or something a bit more humble, gives a residence a lot of character and a certain look of "don't mess with me" look!
