Country Road

 Another country fence

AH! "Country roads, take me home to the place I belong..." (Anyone else remember that John Denver song?)

The road this fence runs beside

Well, I don't belong in West Virginia (I COULD, though!) but I sure do like country roads.

Lovely winter scene, (says the woman who hates winter) it reminds me very much of a road near where I lived as a child.

Beautiful photos and happy memories!

I don't live in WV either but close enough to relate to hilly winding roads.

I definitely remember that song - I know all the words too! What a gorgeous fence. There is something so solid and symmetrical about it.

I remember going to a John Denver concert in about 1971. He really put on a good show. Country roads definitely have a lot of character, and it's pretty hard to stop on the side of a freeway and take a pic of a wildflower!

I love those. The second fence and road are great.

Cold, a bit scary, and in its own way really spectacular!

Yes, I do remember that song. You found a terrific old fashioned fence. Never see rail fences like this in the Midwest. They just don't exist here.

I loved John Denver...and who wouldn't want to be from West Virginia when listening to it. And have you ever heard his Wrangel(/Wrangle) Mountain Song?

Love this fence, this road, that snow. I hope you got to take a lot of photos.

I've always loved country roads. I told the Cowboy on Sunday I wanted to take a drive in the country. Unfortunately it'd be about 2 hours or
more to find any country!
I love the old fences.
Thanks for sharing.

Lovely shot!

We just LEFT West Virginia and went back to D.C. to avoid the (perhaps 3 feet) incoming snow. (It'll be here, too, but at least we wouldn't be stuck on the mountainside.)
