Friday Finds/A

 Celebrate (reflection in store window)

Teresa at Eden Hills is starting a new weekend meme called Friday Finds, which she will open this evening at 7pm central time.

This week's prompts: Starts with the letter A, Week's Favourite (activity or image) and Celebrate.

Looks like an A

Yep, I'm cheating. I'm collecting a file of alphabetography - photos of items that look like letters. To me the orange stand looks like the letter A.

Week's Favourite (and a second reflection)

The Town of Whitby has been repairing and upgrading their pier on Lake Ontario for what seems like forever. Finally the barriers have opened up and pedestrians can walk out to the lighthouse. Sometimes ducks swim in quite close creating super photo ops!

I love the idea of alphabetography! That sounds like it should be a meme in itself. Let me know if you start it!

Happy New Year! Here's to another great year with the City Daily Photo community.

Thanks so much for joining in. That first shot is wonderful! I love that idea of finding the alphabet. I kind of tried, but it's hard when I never leave my farm. I do hope you keep sharing the letters with us.

Pretty good, Ms. TG, with the letter shapes you are finding. I wouldn't dare try that although IF I find one I will save it for that letter on Friday Hunt.

There are so many wonderful ways to use those alphabetography photos. That pier looks like a lovely place to walk and then contemplate the water.

Happy New Year, 2016!

Happy New Year EG! The slender 'A' is very apparent as it supports that heavy yellow bucket. The pier is accessible and beautiful - but isn't it a bit more pleasant to traverse the pier in Summer instead??

I like your A. I'm gathering photos of things that remind me of the alphabet too, I got a lot last year, so now I'm hoping for some wintery looking ones. I lived in Whitby growing up and have lots of great memories.
