Final Glow/ Sky Watch

Star in the west going down over East Gwillimbury

And nobody seemed to notice! Perhaps they were all inside getting ready to watch the evening news.

My eye goes straight to that lovely bit of red coming up over the black trees.

This is far better than anything the evening news might offer. Certainly more intelligent and thought provoking.

Beautiful red glow. I can't imagine being inside when all this glory is outside. Super shot. Look at those heavy dark clouds too. MB

To notice, one has to look. And for many of our contemporaries, the only thing they see are the numbers on their cell phones or iPods!

Love shot!

It took a minute to figure out that the clouds were clouds and not mountains and that the sun was the sun and not a fire in the forest!

Really gorgeous!

I have never seen a sky as red as that, that is truly beautiful and I envy you the moment, wonderful shot.

Thanks for the visit, it was not ice but a twisted obelisk sculpture outside the O2 Dome in London.

Have a great weekend, wishing you many more sunsets like this!

You are right - I miss most of those - preparing dinner and watching the news. You caught a gorgeous red coming from the only star that matters!

This is a gorgeous sunset. If your news is anything like the news here in the U. S. there was nothing this beautiful in that broadcast.

The red sunset reminded me of the old saying:

Red sun at night, farmer's delight,
Red sun at morning, farmers take warning.

Beautiful shot.

What a beautiful sunset. I miss the sunset most evenings here in our new home, as it is blocked by trees very close to our patio. I need to go out for a walk more often at that time!
