I wonder if I would have noticed this if I had seen the real thing before this picture...spending time with camera does help me to see things but I still see photos like this and wonder would I have noticed them.

That is so cool. I had a neighbor that used to paint the dried heads a rainbow of colors. His field was pretty all summer

I love the allium, I've been taking pictures of it too, mostly macros. Very nice in b&wh.

I love the way this flower looks in black and white. It makes the star shape stand out more than in color I think.

I really think the black and white brings out the shapes so much better than colour - i wonder at the person who commented about apinting the dried seed heads - what would that look like?
And the poppies are beautiful, too!!

I learned a trick about allium last week. Make a bouquet of allium, don't put them in water. Just a vase. If you put them in water, they will STINK.
