Bugs?/ Macro Monday

Common Fleabane (Erigeron philadelphicus)

This is either a small flower or a BIG BIG BUG!

AH Not to worry - the blossom is only about 3/4 inch across.

Great shot! I love the clarity of the wings. I am going to send your link to my friend who is an entomologist, she will love the picture.

Gorgeous macro!! I knew the flower, so was not concerned about the size of the bug! But the detail is amazing!!!

I'm definitely glad that it's not a huge bug! This is a wonderful macro. As Judy said, the detail is amazing.

Neat catch! I also like the flower that is still balled up -- the comparison is fantastic!

Haha... I was wondering about the size of the bug, until you explained it was a small flower!
This is beautiful (despite the fact that it is a bug photo)! ;)

That looks similar to our housefly here!

Craver Vii said...

Fleabane? Do you think the fly is there, trying to cop a buzzzz?
