Sandpiper/ Camera Critters

Solitary sandpiper

A small pond owned by a local business is being drained and will soon be filled in. Meanwhile a few solitary sandpipers have moved in for some easy pickings.

Great shot of the sandpiper. It is sad that the pond is being filled in. Sounds like a great habitat for the birds.

Sandpipers are noted scavengers ... and seldom let an opportunity like this go to waste!
