Stouffville Farm

Near Stouffville

Although much of the region  south of where I live is quite built up, a few farms remind passersby of what most of the area looked like not THAT long ago!

I am linking to Friday Fences here.

A beautiful old farm that looks like it may be in it's last days too.

The dusting of snow enhances the view. It looks like the place may need a little care though.

I wonder how farm animals manage in your sub-zero weather you are having.

Looks familiar. Have you shown us this farm before - maybe at a different season of the year.

It also looks very cold.

But I like. I had lots of fun times on farms like this one.

I bet this was one big, beautiful farm in former days...and maybe now, too. Such a lot of buildings it makes me wonder what all they had.

It's a beautiful shot, and the barn buildings look quite appealing in the snow.

What a huge barn complex...bigger than any around here. Love the beautiful blue sky over the snowy ground and roof. Lovely.

What an interesting group of barns!

That's a heck of a barn compared to what I know from the part of Kansas where my wife grew up. The snow and pure color of the sky are a good compliment to each other.

I like the beautiful gray patina on the logs. Also, it looks like the big barn has a nice roof on it.

Great shot.

It is so wonderful especially for someone who hasn't experienced winter yet. If you feel so cold, why not come over here first to the tropics, just like the migrating birds to divert the cold. When i see those thick snow, i somehow is grateful i was not born in a winter country.

Beautiful shot. Like a postcard. It is sad to see the land gobbled up by developers. MB
