Dairy Farm

Old barn with new boards on it's easterly side

It makes me feel good to see new boards on an old barn.  The northerly end could use some repairs too, but this farm is kept up so I'm pretty sure it will happen soon.

I am sure the owner is replacing the old boards with new ones one at a time. The leafless tree and gold field make a beautiful scene.

That barn could use a lot of new boards. It's a pretty sight, though!

There must be lots of space in there.

Lovely. Was this picture taken recently? The grass is very green.

Strong photos of this lovely, old barn. Barns are rapidly disappearing from farms as fewer and fewer of them raise livestock that needs barns for feed storage and shelter.

That is a great looking barn and I'm happy to see that they are trying to take care of it. Hope your Christmas was a good one. It's hard to believe it's over already. Take care and have a wonderful 2016!

So nice that the barns are back! Well, they may have been back for awhile, but haven't seen them.

When it comes to barns, new boards can equals new life. There often is so much delayed maintenance on farms. Thanks for sharing this week and "Happy Barn Hinting in the New Year.".

I really like old barns. I like past - old villages, towns, old nature. Today, everything is modern. I'm happy, when I watch old life. I greet! :)

Hello, it is great this barn is repaired. Nice farm scene. So many are left alone until they fall down in disrepair. Great shots. Have a happy new week ahead!

It breaks my heart when I see old barns crumbling from disuse or neglect. I know there's more than enough work on a farm but barns are such a part of our heritage I hate to see them disappear.

Glad to see it's getting some care. I really need to work on the roof of my barn. It seems to be never-ending.

I love seeing new boards...one of my favorite barns was damaged about 3 years in a row, and each time they repaired it. Talk about someone being happy...I was one happy girl.

I love the rock foundation on this one.
