Orange Canoe/ Today's Flowers

Flowerbed in a canoe outside an art gallery, Huntsville, Ontario

What do you do when you live in Toronto's Cottage Country, there's tarmac outside your door and you want flowers? Plant your annuals in an old canoe!

What was the name of the art gallery, can you remember?
As you walk in York Regional Forest so much, we should arrange to meet up one day!

What a clever way to get some plants into the front of the building. Love the orange color as well.

Hey, EG Wow, This collage is a real Wow! It's colourful and cheery. We have a boring aluminum canoe so it wouldn't make a very good planter. The orange canoe also adds to the overall colour.

Yes, I enjoy creative uses for old "containers"... and you've used the canoe to anchor your pretty flower montage.

A lovely collage for today's flowers. I like the idea of planting flowers in an old canoe. A good repurposing of an object!

I didn't realize that a canoe would make such a great planter! The flowers are beautiful as well.

Yes, that's a creative idea! Adaptive reuse! I bet it was part of the gallery's installation nature art! ;-)

Wonderful post. I love it when people plant or arrange flowers in unusual places. Gotta admit, this is the first time I've seen a canoe full of flowers!

Thanks.
