Late May 2011

Largest square: Canada goose and six goslings swimming in a small lake
Moving clockwise: Virginia bluebells (Mertensia virginica), Allium 'Purple Sensation', star of Bethlehem (Ornithogalum umbellatum), columbine (aquilegia), and white iris

The flowers are lovely but the geese family is my favorite. I love the way they are swimming together almost like follow the leader.

How come you got six goslings and we only got two here in Stone Creek? Oh, that's right, these are Canadian Canadian Geese! :-)

Wonderful collage! The goslings are adorable. All of the flowers are beautiful but I love the bluebells and columbine.

My columbine are all gone now.. in fact, I need to get out and harvest the seed pods as they are starting to rattle when I brush them... time to collect for next years plants.
