Maple Seeds/Sunday Best

These maple keys are a beautiful red

A red maple tree full of red seeds really stands out this time of year. Red maples have gorgeous seeds, sometimes called keys.

Keys? I see these every spring, but I never heard that term before.

We call them helicopters or whirley-birds! They are a nuisance, but your photo puts them in a better light. :)

Thank you for sharing at Your Sunday Best this week, Pat.

Great use of selective focus to make an eye-catching composition.

What a great red. I didn't know the seeds were called keys but somehow I like the idea of that.
