Reflection of Spirit Catcher, Barrie, Ontario
Has the water captured the spirit of the Spirit Catcher?
I have posted about the Spirit Catcher before in this post: January 3, 2011. Suffice it to say here that Spirit Catcher is a sculpture by Ron Baird, a well-respected sculptor in this part of the world.

Love the sculpture and love the reflection also.
Someone else posted the Spirit Catcher recently. I love this sculpture. The best thing in Barrie, I think.
i say the water has captured the spirit of it all. the biggest spirit catcher i have seen.
Great pic. I must say I have never been to Barrie. :) B
Great sculpture makes a great reflection!
Fantastic reflection! The Spirit alive in the water.
What a beautiful sculptor and great capture of it's reflection.
It looks like Barrie is springing up! The Spirit Catcher looks nicer with a bit of green! :)
The sculpture is wonderful as is your photo of it with the reflection.

Wow, now that is a great reflection and photo!
really neat!
I'm not quite sure what a spirit catcher is and does, but it seems sharp enough to catch anything. Great reflection!
From just your title I didn't expect something quite so big!
That's a very 'reflective' image!
I love the Spirit Catcher and the reflections on the water are awesome! Terrific capture as always! Enjoy your weekend!

Spectacular piece of sculpture. We were at Ron Baird's Studio during the last Studio Tour... fascinating place.
What a beautiful sculpture and I love your reflection photo
Very interesting sculpture. I like it. It looks like quite a modern part of the city. Or perhaps the city is all modern?
Spirit Catcher reflected in the water makes for a remarkable impression!
God bless you!

I really like this perspective of the Spirit Catcher!
Interesting sculpture and reflection. I had heard of dream catchers, but not of this.
The sculpture well reflects the concept of First Nations, in my opinion. And yes, captured by water will do the trick.
What is that in the foreground - the skeleton for a fountain yet to be turned on?
The water captured the spirit, and the photographer captured the sculpture, water, and spirit. Fascinating photo, EG!
This is a beautiful crisp, clear reflection photo!
Wonderful composition and great reflection!
Thanks for sharing;o)

Have a nice weekend****
A very moving piece of photography! You can feel the spirit of the artwork!
Love the idea of a spirit catcher (mainly hear of dream catchers on the U.S. side :) -- you 'caught' it beautifully.
The sculpture is striking and makes a softer reflection. The reflected tree adds a splash of yellow to those waters.

This is a great post for reflections!
Have a nice day!
Wonderful reflection of the sculpture here!
:)
I love the ripples in the reflection
A great long shot including the reflection!
such a very special spirit catcher! And yes, the water has captured the spirit :))
Yes, the reflection does make the spirit catcher look more other-worldly. It must be very cool to see the quills rock in the wind.
